Club athletes impress at Clonmel half marathon

Moycarkey Coolcroo AC had a strong group competing at the Boston Scientific Clonmel Half Marathon. Several fine times were recorded, with two athletes placing in the top 20.

The Boston Scientific Clonmel Half Marathon took place on Sunday, August 24th, drawing 439 runners. Our club had a great turnout, with some excellent results:

Donie Bergin – 14th overall in 1:24:04
Kevin Shortall – 17th overall in 1:24:53
Liam Meaney – 62nd overall in 1:34:17, his 2nd fastest time at the distance
Nikki Kennealy – 7th woman home, 83rd overall in 1:37:29
Christina Hayes – 25th woman home in 1:44:23

Well done everyone! These results show the depth and determination in our club. Big thanks to Clonmel AC, Dermot Hever, Paddy Kennedy and Pop Up Races for a brilliantly organised event.
