Bracken & Neary Go 1–2 at Brendan Kinane 5K

Mossy Bracken and Brendan Neary stole the show at the Brendan Kinane Memorial 5K in Dundrum, with a strong Moycarkey Coolcroo turnout that included 19 athletes in total.
The Brendan Kinane Memorial 5K in Dundrum Village drew a fantastic crowd of 326 runners on a lovely evening for racing — and Moycarkey Coolcroo AC was out in force, with 19 of our athletes lining up at the start line!Brendan Kinane 5K Mossy Bracken produced a stellar performance to take first place in a fast 15:16, holding off clubmate Brendan Neary, who made a hugely impressive debut in the Coolcroo singlet, finishing second just 4 seconds behind in 15:20. Strong runs continued throughout the field:
  • Conor Keating clocked 16:48 for 11th
  • Paddy Cummins ran 17:19 for 17th
  • Donie Bergin hit another PB in 17:56 for 29th
  • Mark Cahill ran 20:16 for 75th
  • Robert O’Connell finished in 22:50
  • Christina Hayes followed in 22:55
  • Mandy Fennessy crossed in 23:29
  • Michael Roche ran 24:47
  • Paddy Ryan posted 25:30
  • TJ O’Brien ran 26:06
  • Padraig Crowe crossed in 26:40
  • Ellen Butler & Sharon O’Reilly came home together in 29:39
