It was a day of personal achievements for Moycarkey Coolcroo AC athletes on Sunday, March 23rd, as runners delivered standout performances in both the Mallow 10 Mile in Cork and the National 10K Championships in Dunboyne, Co. Meath. With multiple personal bests recorded, the dedication and hard work of our athletes were on full display.
In Mallow, Kevin Shortall led the way for the club, crossing the line in 47th place out of 1,232 runners with a superb PB time of 62:04. Liam Meaney followed with an impressive 71:52, while Paudie Guidera pushed through for a strong 78:50. Thomas Whelan rounded off the day’s success, breaking the 80-minute barrier with a fantastic new PB of 79:19. A brilliant effort from all four athletes, showing the strength of the club over the longer distances.
Meanwhile, in Dunboyne, Shane Minogue proudly represented Moycarkey Coolcroo AC at the National 10K Road Championships, delivering a stellar performance with a new PB of 35:20. Competing against the country’s best, Shane’s achievement highlights his commitment and progress over the distance.
